I graduated from the University of Montevallo with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education in December of 2007. I was hired by the Chilton County BOE as an Interventionist at Jemison Elementary School from December of 2007 until May of 2008.  In July of 2008 I returned to my Alma Mater and began teaching first grade at Verbena High School.  While at VHS, I taught first grade for six years, kindergarten for three years, and fourth grade for three years.  In May of 2011 I returned to the University of Montevallo and obtained my Master's Degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Literacy.  Teaching children to read has always been one of my favorite parts of teaching. But helping students foster of love of reading has become a true passion.  I am truly blessed to be given the opportunity to join the faculty and staff at Eclectic Middle School and I look forward to many more years in education.
